PASCAM is a compact tool collection based on the new semantic feature technology, which makes it possible to make efficient, high quality and secure models in the 3D-CAD system SolidWorks.
Semantic feature technology
This concept, still, hardly is found in the timber industry or in wood craftsmanship. The feature technology makes an efficient variation construction possible, as carpenters and the wood industries need it every day.
Feature-technology is the description of a model, e.g. of a cupboard with its characteristics, its composition, its material etc.
PASCAM WoodWorks makes it possible to establish a semantic relation. This means the parts become intelligent. A simple cuboid turns into a cupboard side at the flick of a switch.
In a "Learning-by Doing" process you actually teach PASCAM and adapt it to your needs automatically. (you design once and PASCAM WoodWorks has the data always available).
The result is a CAD/CAM system, completely adapted to our needs.
Whereas PASCAM WoodWorks is a specific software for wood processing industries, Varix can be used material independent.
VariXPASCAM is a variable manager for SolidWorks and provides for a simpler, more efficient administration of variables and equations.
